After weeks of stress over Academic Decathlon, I am finally starting to reap the rewards and remember exactly why I love it. See, it's the only time you can walk around a room of kids and hear kids arguing about Quantum Physics (Guy: I hate quantum physics. Girl: How dare you?! Quantum physics is amazing! this fight grew quite vocal). I have also discovered that nerds cannot high five. We try, but we always seem to under or overestimate the force at which the other hand in coming at us, and the results are always rather humorous. There is also little more exhilarating than walking down hallways singing "The Battle Cry for Freedom" and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" at the top of your lungs.
I played BS and spoons (well, technically forks) for the first time! I am very proud of myself. It was really quite amazing. We're like one big nerdy family. I love it.
So...round 1 of county is over, and I think I did really well. I'm high on life at the moment, and loving every moment of it.
