Days of waiting
Cold anticipation
Dread and fear
Meaningless vision.

The always timid
And infernally afraid
Shall try her courage
On plans best laid.

One moment of daring
An eternity of truth
Irrational and powerful
Beautifully uncouth.

Eyes connect
Gray into blue
Moment unending
Ushers era anew.

Answers yield questions
Confounding perplexities
So newfound courage
Brings no hoped clarity.

Perhaps I am closer
To unraveling the mystery
But where is the pleasure
Without first feeling misery?

The enigma of humanity
Never deciphered
A masochistic delight
For all to ponder.

I like the question posed about being able to feel pleasure without first feeling the misery. It makes me think...
